Iʼve been thinking about this a lot ! These ideas arenʼt necessarily organized or complete but I think they shed a fair amount of light onto my design process and the sorts of things I aim for with my works.
Pairs well with RDF, ActivityPub, IndieWeb, and everyone else trying to build the internet of tomorrow, today. But from a design perspective, rather than a technological one !

Hey everyone! Haven't posted here recently because I took a break from Making Things to go write thousands of words of gay fanfiction.

i would like to clarify that i'm not saying that all of Web 2.0 needs to be abolished, the same as i am not saying that all of Web 1.0 needs to be abolished (i still have a personal web site! lol)
but i do think that there is a new design space out there that we should be working towards in a lot of respects, that we aren't because we're trapped thinking in these older models

and honestly i find the idea that oppressed people are somehow more compelled than others to violence or violent rhetoric offensive and inaccurate. oppressed folks know better than anyone else where violence leads. we live with it

(although it's 2018, i'll pass on the argument that ironically calling for violence and actually calling for violence are somehow distinct.) the trivialization of human life is what i take issue with.
