I didn't really have that much interest in the new transcription feature of Overcast until I realized it could be used to skip commercials. Now I use it constantly.

I mean, this agreement to not audit the Trumps isn't a law, right? I would assume the next Democratic administration would immediately tear that agreement up.

The things that I don't understand about the “lay developers off because AI makes them more productive" plan:

1) I've never worked for a company that didn't have a roadmap that's a million miles long. So..why not leverage AI to tackle that work, and leapfrog their competitors?

2) AI can make individuals or small teams so productive they are potentially spawning a whole bunch of competitors without their legacy cruft.

Things I do understand about the plan - “make stock chart go up”

IMO one thing that the effectiveness of agentic software development highlights is just how often everyone is re-solving basically the same problems.
