mastodon 4.7.3COO at GitHub
Congratulations to @badger for 25 years of curl. 🎊 I was particularly struck by this section of his blog post:
"Similarly, there was no sudden specific moment when suddenly curl became popular and the number of users skyrocketed. Instead, the number of users and the popularity of the tool and library has gradually and continuously grown. In 1998 there were few users. By 2010 there were hundreds of millions."

Time for an #introduction over here! 👋 I'm Kyle and been working at GitHub in a variety of roles over nearly the past 10 years. Been a developer for the last 20 years in some form or another.
At GitHub, I started as a developer, ran the Ecosystem/API/Platform teams, shifted into my business role and worked on M&A, and ultimately am now leading our strategy, parts of our operations, and care deeply about telling GitHub's story (and its community story) with the world.
I’m pretty sure I can judge your brand entirely accurately based solely on if I can remove stickers from your product without leaving any residue.
It's about time for my personal think week so thought it'd make sense to take the time to share how you can do a "personal retreat" with a four-part framework for making them an investment _and_ relaxing. 🌊😎 https://www.kyledaigle.com/its-time-for-your-think-week/
Hello darkness, my old friend.
Really digging Dragon Age: Veilguard. I’m sort of sad it’s not more like Dragon Age: Origins in tone and art style, but it’s a super chill couch game with enough good relationships in game to make it worth a playthrough IMO.
Gooood morning Fediverse! I want to start finding more talented kind people over on this platform and the best way I know how to do that is an offer to help. So #HelpOutFriday is gonna start right here.
Can I help you make a connection you're looking to make? Can I give you feedback/advice? Is there something about GitHub that I might be able to make better for you today? Can I help you plan your next day off? 🙏
The local MCP landscape for IDEs has been pretty great, even with their growing pains.
Building an agent or a GPT that needs to connect to a variety of services (that aren’t all in one provider) has been hell.
Who is doing this well and making it easy? 🤔
After seeing Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One, I’m feeling even better about the decision to build the GitHub Arctic Code Vault.
Less typewriters needed.
@andymckay@mastodon.social thanks Andy! ❤️
What’s your favorite tech or “big questions” #podcast where the episodes are close to or under 15 minutes? What’s the TikTok, quick length equivalent of podcasts? 🤔
