Another NRVBA Spring Gravel social #bicycle ride in the books. Excellent weather save for an hour of steady light rain at the end, a beautiful course, and good company.
I got to get out #cycling on a friend's birthday, hitting a ton of little country roads around here and climbing up some FOOLISHLY punchy hills. A gorgeous day, wonderful company, and a great dinner with the social crew afterwards. woot!
Did you know that you don't need to use link shorteners (bit.ly, etc.) on Mastodon? All links, no matter how long, only count for 23 characters against your 500 limit!
(And since link shorteners are bad for user experience and break the web, there's almost no good reason to use 'em! 😄)

@Felthry@awoo.space Guess how long a https t.co link is. Basically, "we'll only count 23 chars against your post length count because, even if you used a link shortener, it won't get any* shorter than that, so be nice and use a full link."
(* okay, yes, it is possible)

@ACM@mastodon.acm.org I notice that your /about page is really thin on details. No info on moderation re sexism, racism, fascism, etc.; no info on backup policy, etc. :/ Is there any way you could get us that info? Thanks!
