It's been a while since I've used this account, how is it going guys?
@nethaniah well I managed to install obs with browser support which is painful on Arch, I used OpenLP to manage lyrics and bible verses and stuff. It went alright but someone unplugged the projector by mistake, xfce got a little crazy but obs kept going
Today my church did its first fully Linux powered live stream :P

If you think about it, its almost as if God deliberately chose women to be the first to witness the empty tomb.
God himself put the believability of the maximum proof of Christianity in the hands of women who were not even taken into account for trials or by historians

@ChiaChatter@theres.life I mean, by today standards, women should be treated as reliable witnesses, bit it was not that way back then, even other manuscripts that are not canon, like "Peter's gospel" decided to go with some fantastical story where the soldiers, authorities and a voice in the sky announce and see the resurrection of Jesus.
This would have sounded more believable because the witnesses were male and of higher authority.
Mark uses the testimony of women, despite this being less believable at the time, because in the end, its the truth.

Most of those women had children or family that was mentioned, implying that the first readers of Mark's gospel knew of the family and heritage of those women, so they could prove that the story is true due to people who were there being still alive

@LovesTha@floss.social yes, my point is that the mention of those relatives serves as proof of the existence of those women.
Not even the disciples believed them at first remember? But in the end, both the disciples and the women shared the same testimony of Jesus resurrection
