Sunset last night and moonset this morning were gorgeous!
Went to bed before I posted, but beautiful colors on the Washington Channel last night:

Getting back to DC after a fun weekend in WV, sunset last night was absolutely stunning:

We had a fun day on the river yesterday. All this rain over the weekend finally got us a good river wave to surf on the Potomac!

Ate here for the first time yesterday. Best tacos I've had ever in the DMV: https://maps.app.goo.gl/vvuZ5riAJsg1w3DM6
Some cool clouds and a rainbow as storms roll through over the SW waterfront this evening:
Was an absolutely gorgeous Sunday in DC today!
This anchorage facing Mason Neck Is excellent. Eagles and osprey and beautiful views.
FOO ON TINY!!!
Ooof! Apparently there is a delay on the Green Line this morning 😭.
Tried to take advantage of what might be this winter's final snow in DC...
My truck was covered in bird poo 🤮 and pollen after parking on the street in DC for last couple of weeks. Finally cleaned it and L's Subaru today. Now we're both all shiny and it feels like spring 🌼🌱! And her cherry tree is blooming!
It's Memorial Day weekend and ... we are not going out on the boat. Here's what we're doing instead, and what we've been up to for the past several weeks!

Yesterday evening storms rolled in and around us 🙄. Minor relief from the cloud coverage. But the heat of 95°F (100° heat index with humidity) was brutal for my short run. My heart rate stayed relatively low for 3 miles, but my body didn't feel like moving faster than an 8:58/mi pace.
While this run of brutal summer weather in May was an interesting experience, I'm looking forward to the cold front arrival tomorrow.
Just learned that the "Weather and Radar" app for Android allows me to see radar in Android Auto. Was really cool to see the storm approaching as I drove back to DC and know exactly when rain would hit.
April 1 moonset from my phone - way too pixelated by digital zoom, but still cool:
Crowd sourcing my new shade color options. What do you prefer?
Yes, please. I'm not ditching a smartphone. I have removed corporate social media and turned off most notifications, however.
That time of year again. I could see my thermostat probe stuck in ice and not properly cooling my fridge. This was problematic since it's in the mid 90s today through Wed 🥵.
Defrosted the Vitrifrigo dp2600, pulled out ice and cleaned everything. Thought 🤔 might drop probe down a bit so it won't freeze, but apparently this model requires it to touch the plate 🤷♂️. Guess I'll be doing this again in several months.
On a positive note new shades have made a huge difference in the heat!
TIL Key West is a bastardized spelling of the Spanish "Cayo Hueso" or "Bone Island." I think that name is way cooler 🏴☠️!
Just heard about #SeaPeople - a new-to-me social media app - for water people. Seems to have a much bigger user base than Nebo, which I have grown to detest.
I don't really need a social media app, but it offers tracking and live position sharing (some features for an annual subscription of course). If it works better than Nebo, I'll be here for it. Curious if anyone else here has used it? Interesting how it is for all water activities and not just boating.
Personally, the restaurant AND cooking gap ... basically overall food and drink gap, is potentially the biggest priority for me. Second is physical activity. But I'm much more tolerant there. My significant other doesn't need to do what I do, but we both need to be active.
I love Flea.

Martinis are supposed to be made with gin and DIRTY! 😜
@mpmilestogo@cupoftea.social this was cheap for our area, but not Merida cheap, lol. 3 of us getting 2 tacos each and a water/soda was under $40 ... which is a deal for DC.
