@pinkforest@hachyderm.io I keep my distance to Github :-) I only use it if I get paid for using Github.

It so far as only zip supported as a test case for VFS (using minizip-ng). I don't even think I will want to support all the possible file format but for anything supported the user experience is optimize. I will release it when it feels glitch-free for what it has.

@pinkforest@hachyderm.io Github is also infamous for spreading malware in precompiled binaries and many many other things than just AI and inference :-) Microsoft's web story is quite bad overall over the decades even. It's all been only shit so far :-) When thinking about LLMs, it makes me releaved to see how MS executes these days in the sense that apparently even unlimited AI resources enhanced MS is still as lack of style as always :-) It is apparently something you cannot teach.

I feel so much better of using Pi now as the reference client in my local infrastructure project Puu,:

For majority, I share his opinions.

I don't like AI. That's why I work on Puu.

I cannot understand that even in 2026 there is a strong anti-systemd movement o_O We waited 20 years to something like systemd to happen to have great cross-distribution compatiblity.

Session #3 with Dirtywave M8 iOS aka "how to add italo":

How to italo:
1. Play random keys in scale.
2. Repeat sequentially.

I could get USB-B splitter cable that I want from US but shipping to my home costs about $80.

I cannot believe this isn't a thing at Ali Express ;-)

Dirtywave should sell custom midi controllers for their iOS app.

I would not buy the dedicated device but I would definitely pay even unfair sum for the controller :-)

iPhone is much better hardware for my needs given e.g., built-in WIDI. And I can carry one device instead of two, which another plus.

Musicians don't buy Apple hardware because of the brand. The problem is really PC manufacturers and ther zero investment to grounded audio ports and decent quality dacs etc :-) There is no "PC option" for music IMHO.

I get creating song material w/o general purpose computer but what I don't get is this optimizing to not touch to a computer at all costs :-)

This is usually (always) combined with a purchase of a hardware sequencer that costs at least as much as a MacBook Pro :-) and sometimes you have to go to a multi year wait list to get one for yourself.

Personally I bought Macbook Neo to be solely a DAW/sequencer and CME H4MIDI WC MIDI hub to which a WIDI chip can be mounted. Anything from natively supports WIDI. And yeah, I' use Renoise a lot as only tracker DAWs have the tactictility that sort of "glues nicely' with the gear :-)

I'd bet this is AI generated site: https://yabridge.org/

Those two Roland synths (term in the broad scope of the word) run on AA batteries. And I just realized that do five out of seven hardware synths that I own. It's clearly an attribute that I appreciate... And I like to reboot working environments constantly meaning that physical objects do change their place all the time at my house :-)

@pauldoo@mastodon.scot @inffy@mementomori.social @ikkeT@mementomori.social This got me hooked. I have my sandbox "arch distro". I'm hammering it into container and pre-populate most of GNOME apps from Flatpak. And for developement enviroments I add distrobox to the core image. I don't have anything from AUR (except bootc needs to be hooked up from there) and my command-line tools are like "20 years the same and still ongoing" type of selection for the most part :-) (e.g., I even favor regular vim over nvim).
