Having installed both, a windows and an Ubuntu, today, my appreciation for all the people behind Linux, Ubuntu and Gnome has grown even more. Windows greeted me with abusive language, almost forcing me into registering an online account and plain out refusing to let me select a system language. Meanwhile Ubuntu, after selecting a language, offered me, with a clear language and symbols, accessibility options, with no ads or the promise that my system will be worse with no online account. I have published a whole bunch of open source hardware projects over the past years, including the OtterIron, OtterCast, ligra and various more. I have been involved in reverse engineering projects and hoverboard hacking. This year I have and am working on PICSY, a pixel-art camera, the OtterCam-z7, a streaming camera and the OtterCastAdvanced. All of these projects require me to build prototypes, order boards and parts. If you want, you can now support me via https://github.com/sponsors/Jana-Marie :3
