Claude is so polite. Every time it tries to access my passwords, it admits it shouldn't have done it, admits I've told it never to do that, apologizes, and promises never to do it again. So polite!

I asked Claude to script install version 1.1+ of a program. It's solution was to install and then check the version. I said "specify 1.1+ during install, not after." It made up syntax. I said "check the docs and fix." It skimmed the man page and told me it was impossible. I finally told it the name of the command. Extracting info from a man page is exactly the thing Claude should be good at. But it didn't read the man page at all! It just searched for some strings that weren't there. #lazyBots

Claude is so zen! You have a bug, it will help you fix that bug, but if this bug is hard to fix, Claude will tell you to stop trying to fix it and just live with the bug. So zen!

Trump did another good thing, this time on marijuana: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/12/increasing-medical-marijuana-and-cannabidiol-research/

That's two good things in one week. A personal best!

In the cybers, if attacker and defender both use Claude, who gains the advantage? The obvious answer is "Claude" but after that, who wins?

Headed to a fundraiser for a hunger charity tonight in Brooklyn: https://neighborstogether.org/gala/
These folks do more with a dollar than anything I've every built or run. They wear their coats in the office so they can spend the heat bill on more meals. I am constantly impressed by the dedication and effectiveness they bring to their mission.
Tickets are still available at the door. Just show up! Find me and say hi! And if you can't make it tonight, you can donate here: https://neighborstogether.org/donate/
