To nobody's surprise, companies engage in creative number tweaking to hide their awfulness.

Google’s reported that its DIRECT water usage in surged in 2023 by 34% year-on-year to 10.9 billion gallons (approximately 41.26 billion liters).
Neither Google nor Amazon report indirect water usage.
Meta does. It's INDIRECT water usage is 20 TIMES HIGHER than its DIRECT water usage.
Go figure

If "AI" is so great at doing software, why is copiloted github down way more than classic github?

I am relieved to see the anti-protest laws struck down.
"When the right to protest for Palestine is protected, so too is the right to dissent, to challenge authority and to take part politically. That gives this ruling significance beyond its immediate context.
This is more than a legal correction. It is a restoration of the public sphere."

@Dangerous_beans@aus.social Alright, so. These days it resides in the GEM (Grand Egyptian Museum). My partner doesn't think any of the photos she has would be helpful for your needs, but thinks she might have something in her library that she could scan for you.
Further: "Oh, they might also want to look at https://collections.louvre.fr/en/ark:/53355/cl010004555 for another example of a Khopesh from New Kingdom Egypt. It is at the Louvre so better official photos.
Also, Tutankhamun’s khopesh was small (likely child size or second hand weapon), so they should take care when deciding on dimensions if based off it.
Oh, and the ROM also have one https://collections.rom.on.ca/objects/188937/curved-khopesh-sword "
See if any of those links are sufficient first?

@Dangerous_beans@aus.social which particular Egypt Museum, and which piece? My partner may have something in her somewhat extensive photo stash.

@andyjennings please enlighten me - why would they drive customers away intentionally?
I could see poor shelf management as a result of skimping on staff in order to keep prices down, but why as a deliberate design choice?
