I do not know.

I do remember back in the 1980s when Japan was viewed as a threat buying up all our real estate and taking over the auto industry and stuff. This diminished in the 1990s when Japan suffered an economic downturn, and also Japanese auto makers spun up manufacturing in the USA. How much effect has the popularity of Japanese video games and media had? I'm not sure.

I don't know what Mexico could try to do to counter the sky high anti-"Mexican" racism ...
