If you make a flyer with AI, I'm 100% not going to the event you're making the flyer for.
I mean, I wasn't gonna go anyway. But if there is ever any question in my mind, it's definitely answered now, with an emphatic NO.

@RickiTarr@beige.party I always thought these services were suspicious. And you have to continue paying them for continued protection. If that isn't the definition of a shakedown / extortion.

Tokodon is pretty cool. So far it's been a better experience than any other frontend I've tried. Notifications seem to be loaded dynamically. And it's a native KDE app!
There are a couple things that could be better. There is an option in the settings to enable link previews, but it doesn't seem to work. Notification sounds would be cool.

I want to go to sleep but I'm not tired enough. Am not motivated to do anything else.

@neil@mastodon.neilzone.co.uk To be fair, I don't think Proton is donating enormous sums to far-right extremists, so using Proton products would not contribute to funding fascists. I could be wrong, though.
Andy Yen, the Proton CEO, praised the Trump administration for selecting Gail Slater as head of the DOJ's antitrust division. From Yen's perspective, he believed Slater would stand up to Big Tech in a way that Democratic appointees failed to do. Poor judgment and short-sighted on Yen's part, as far as I'm concerned. I don't know what Yen's political values really are, but my understanding is that Yen believed the appointment of Slater would be a net positive for digital rights. His mistake was thinking a fascist administration could be trusted.
