I remember there is some --keep-existing option (or similar) in some tar implementation (was it gnutar?) don't know if others have it too 😬
However I don't know of any of the other features you've mentioned.

Even the most basic of those mowers come with pretty good sheduling features.
Using them in evenings and night is a pure choice of the users.
I'm confused why people setup their mowers schedule to kill hedgehogs. Is it really so crazy hard that we need laws to regulate such shit?

Autokraten und deren "Erleuchteten" interessiert das leider einen feuchten sche*ss. Die würdens um so geiler finden, wenn sie alles freie gleich mit ausrotten könnten. Passt also super in deren Strategie. Sowas wie red star OS würden die doch noch geiler finden 🤮 Und genau dorthin bewegen wir uns.
Einfach nur zum k*zen wie die kurzsichtige Masse das auch noch befürwortet, mit so Müll Sprüchen wie "ich hab ja nix zu verbergen".
