@soatok@furry.engineer it's changed a bit, whether or not to any practical effect for you is a different question. https://www.redcrossblood.org/donate-blood/how-to-donate/eligibility-requirements/lgbtq-donors.html Now it's waiting 3 months without anal sex if you've had multiple partners in that time. Also... 3 months since taking PreP.

@xoagray calling your state reps (ideally before the bills get passed or at least passed into law after governor approval) can be effective. In the current political environment asking why they want to give the Trump administration more power to surveil people or to harm people who lack identification documents etc can help them realize the problems with the bill. When laws are going through the legislature the people trying to get them passed are typically organized but the ones opposing them won't have as much information to start showing up to committee hearings and calling because they don't even know the bill is happening.

@Deepseacreatur3@thicc.horse ha I saw "AI first suit maker" and assumed it was business suits etc not fursuit.

@tisha@htt.social Option 1: Open a bakery. Option 2: Invest in someone else's bakery in return for naming Option 3: Do something famous baking related Option 4: Do something more famous Option 5: Change your name and claim something is named after you Probably some more

@molly0xfff come to a furry con. There's a wide variety of social anxiety tags ... and often harnesses designed for the same Velcro tags used on dogs.

@dbergey@mastodon.social one consideration to keep in mind is that knowing whether to disable or hide a button can be expensive depending on the permissions system behind it. This doesn't make it good design to not resolve until the button is pressed, but it can make it a very expensive or essentially unachievable design requirement to add. Of course if your button ends up being disabled incorrectly (because someone tried to implement it and failed due to the auth system complexities), then it's bad. But from design in the abstract I agree that showing before the action is much better.

@soatok@furry.engineer ah the glories of mastodon mean I'm definitely not the first to reply with this info.

@Avelican trying to make the con meetups scarier are you?

@Deepseacreatur3@thicc.horse is this one of the companies doing machine learning for measurements from photos or something new and terrible?

@KellicTiger@tiggi.es I did see an advice columnist suggest trying an AI chatbot for an elderly relative who kept falling for romance scams. The advice was basically "this isn't good, but it is better than romance scammers". A volleyball is probably more reliable and safer if it works. Incidentally I don't think I've seen the poster on Tiggi.es who was attached to his "lion boyfriend" for a while.

@KellicTiger@tiggi.es "if you really loved me you'd buy me the fanciest NFT rose" but the chatbot company is probably easier to go after than the romance scammers.
