@QasimRashid You correctly identified the source of gun violence in the first half of this post and then applied a solution to a different problem in the second half. Comfortable people with bright futures don't commit gun crimes. We need to be bolstering people's economic situations. Attack the root of the problem, don't apply a bandaid solution. Outlaw billionaires, build a social and political structure that works for everyone.

@someguy @QasimRashid Effectively outlaw, anyway. Wealth tax, and maximum tax rates over 70%. We did this the last time our national debt exceeded our GDP.

@chgowiz@dice.camp I snagged a doe in the second rifle season this year. Unfortunately, she tested positive for CWD. This is my land, so it's my responsibility to start reducing numbers and hopefully reduce the chance of continuing to spread CWD. I was looking forward to the venison, too...

@swatantra@fosstodon.org Democrats lost because voting for ideology doesn't pay the grocery bill. Doesn't matter that Biden's economy did "better than other developed nations", people are hurting and no one is listening. Tale as old as time...
