Pond Sprites spawn when water has high levels of miasma. They're incredibly shy and can often be found hiding underneath lotus leaves. If you've ever seen one moving across the water, it is likely you have been in the presence of one of these round creatures.
Researchers believe the tainted waters feel rejuvenating to them, balancing their miasma levels so they can continue to exist. These creatures, although cute, are toxic to humans. Just being in the water with them can cause a rash.

Elpis has spent two lifetimes trying to read this book, which is also my current problem. Slow readers unite. (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و
Happy Halloween! 🎃
I thought I'd share some of the sketches/studies I did this week. I wanted to try out different drawing techniques for lotus leaves. It's always fun to draw these!
A fun little personal project I made at a local art studio~
No newsletter today but I got this really cool figurine in a "blind box."
I'm switching to a Hobonichi Weeks for 2026, so I printed out the equivalent of the current week to test it out. It is less than 2/3 the writing space of my Passion Planner. Pretty scary, but I think it does serve to make my days much more focused on the one or two priority items.
I'm still a big fan of the Passion Planner, but I don't use time blocking at all anymore, so I want to give the Weeks a shot.
There's this cute lil' trend with creative businesses online and baby pics and I'm obsessed. So cute!! 🙈
Happy Star Wars Day!
You might not know this, but I'm a wookiepedia... Star Wars Galaxies was my first MMORPG and my favorite game as a kid/teen. I played it for a few years until Sony shut it down. Ever since then, I've continued my SW obsession and now I hold too much power to be stopped.
I can't relive the days of SWG, unfortunately, but I can share with you some Star Wars fanart I have made in the past.
Hey, so this is news for me.
If you're an artist and want some good examples of how to describe your art for alt text, the National Gallery of Art (US) has visual descriptions for the artworks in their collection that you can use for inspiration.
Just go to an artwork and click "Visual Description" to the bottom right of the block that holds the image.
Made this little bag to store my resin brushes so they last a little longer.
Hey you! Check out my art shop if you're in the US!
Or, if you like my art but are not ready to buy or are not in the US, you can join my artist newsletter for chill, BTS weekly updates on my art journey.

Appreciate the boosts.

Has this ever happened to you and should I panic/start saving a back up of the illustrations I'm working on just in case?
