@Abdullahawwad@freefree.ps there are no words to describe the admiration I have for you and for your sense of civic duty even in such a tragic situation. You folks in Al-Shifa are heroes. Dealing with hundreds of injuried per day while enduring so much suffering yourselves. @aral@mastodon.ar.al

@Abdullahawwad@freefree.ps I saw one of your previous videos where you stated that Al-Shifa is currently dealing with 400-500 injuried per day. I’m not sure if everyone here got the perspective. Some back-of-the-envelope math tells me that an average emergency room in NYC sees about 250-400 patients per day. It has access to the best medical devices in the world, and a trained, well-paid and well-fed workforce that can operate in conditions of peace. You guys are dealing with more patients per day than the average NYC E/R. Patients that have much more severe trauma than the average one that visits a hospital in NYC. And you’re doing all of this while being underpaid, underfed, and with bombs dropping on your own hospital. These are truly the kind of stories that they should make movies about. @aral@mastodon.ar.al

@joe@f.duriansoftware.com I am always appalled at the amount of complexity people are ok to cope with, and the amount of money they’re happy to throw at random companies, just because they don’t want to spend $35 on a RPi at home to run their containers.
