@mrbrown@mastodon.uno Suez caused our panels to stop working? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KtQ9nt2ZeGM @greenpeace@mastodon.social

@BartoszMilewski@mathstodon.xyz AFAIK the reduced genome is then the same across all somatic cells, so it is still almost true that "every cell contain the complete blueprint"

@organicmaps It seems to me the problem isn't that it's not free file, just that the network service is not replaceable. Maybe just adding a setting for the map file server would help? @opensourceopenmind @manankanchu

@organicmaps Ok, I understand that. However it seems like a reasonable compromise that'd need to rebuild the maps on each app update, if you detect the version mismatch and show a reasonable error (which should be a matter of adding version number at the start of the file or filename)

@RavenLuni@furry.engineer That's certainly unpleasant, but it means you cannot build new ones, you can still use whatever you already have. Oil gets stuck, economy completely shuts down in a month. Panel get stuck - you have got 10 years to sort it out @greenpeace@mastodon.social
