From earlier this week:
The big ticket item was getting Marten & Wolverine both to AOT compliance
https://jeremydmiller.com/2026/05/24/marten-9-0-polecat-4-0-and-wolverine-9-0-are-live/
I'm of course dealing with the inevitable fallout from the changes necessary to get there, but I might as well revel in the real improvements!
Guess we're starting this morning with a huge Hugops to the GitHub folks?
Marten 9.0, Polecat 4.0, and Wolverine 9.0 are Live! https://jeremydmiller.com/2026/05/24/marten-9-0-polecat-4-0-and-wolverine-9-0-are-live/
Re-reading this a little bit because I can already tell today that it's going to resonate:

The killer thing about AI assisted development is how it tempts you into so much more multi-tasking than maybe you did before.

AI is changing everything fast and I'm trying to change with that too:

CLI Improvements in the Critter Stack and AI Stuff https://jeremydmiller.com/2026/05/28/cli-improvements-in-the-critter-stack-and-ai-stuff/
I just accidentally discovered the "say" command in OSX as a way to let me know when long running cli tasks are done, and life will never be the same.
Also wanting a Stuart Scott voice screaming "Booyah!"
We got what I think is the first issue about MySQL support with Wolverine that we added in February. Reassuring in a weird way
Sizable Wolverine release tonight:

Little more coming by early next week too.

I'm maybe having better luck with AI tools than other folks. This is the first week I've come remotely close to max'ing out my Claude plan -- and that's been from doing an absurdly busy release cycle across 5 different OSS projects and 3-4 other related repositories of other tools or tests

Love the new Kacey Musgraves album. Little more country than the previous couple, and more of her old humor coming back. Plus who isn't up for a duet w/ Willie?
AI directed or assisted workflows are making cross repository development a little less painful. But I'm very much looking forward to finishing any work that requires that for awhile.
