@roxy@chitter.xyz :kaile: We haven't found it useful to try to rigidly partition out front time like this, but it'd be very system-dependent.
We tend to switch when someone is tired of fronting or otherwise doing badly, or there's a specific task someone else wants to do.
It's not like being freeform is without issues, though. We know systems that deal with "front staleness" if they don't proactively switch regularly.
It at least means those that don't particularly like fronting don't need to unless they really want to. Their presence "in the back" is still valuable.
