I’m changing the way I use Mastodon. Not that you should care. But for the curious (like, 2 of you), a 🧵: I am not new to Mastodon, and I’ve entered and exited the Fediverse at least 2x before my latest self-induced banishment. I run (read: pay for) an instance. I’ve used half a dozen different clients. I’m no developer. I’m quick on the ban hammer. I don’t give a single shit about growth hacks, influencers, or purists. (No shade to those who do. Yesterday at around 4p, I got the new mRNA flu shot (mFLUSIVA) and my Pfizer COVID booster. Because ‘tis the season. About an hour ago, I started getting a chill and noticed some muscle aches. All of which are common, I just didn’t experience any side-effects previously. But I’ll deal with a day of minor discomfort if it decreases my chances of getting disease that continue to kill people, because I’m not a moron. #GetVaccinated

My approach to primaries is two-fold:

Put as many progressive candidates on the ballot for the General Election in November as possible
Scare the living shit out of centrist Democratic candidates so they adopt progressive policies that will resonate with disenfranchised people who don't see the need to voting for feckless Democrats

#IVoted #today! I used AZ’s new ID Verified system so that my early ballot will be ran thru the tabulator by tomorrow. (In AZ, elected idiots decided that mail-in ballots can’t be tabulated until the polls close on Election Day. This bypasses that nonsense.) It was super simple.
