@davidgerard@circumstances.run I had a feeling at the time that it was basically just intended to be an easy, convenient way to divert the exodus to Mastodon into a venue that remained under corporate control, and the fact that Jay and Aaron started getting much more openly nastily fascist around the same time the outflow of users from Twitter started tailing off leaves me feeling pretty vindicated in that regard

I am modifying my approach to the risk of pandemic #hantavirus based partly on the fact that my doctor, who is pretty reasonable, knowledgeable, and current, hadn't heard about it. I'll still freak out if freaking out is called for, but at the moment I feel more or less chill.
