mastodon 4.8.0-nightly.2026-10-06I go by Eden online :)
I like almost anything that helps explain the world around us a little better. I am quite academic at heart, however amateur-ish of a quality my pursuit may be.
My reblogs represent what I want people to talk with me about, they may not always be absolute endorsements. If i disagree with you on some ideas, im not against you as a human, just against what's being represented by you.

Dear #fedi (and #mastodon ) what do you feel about possible inclusion of options for #newsfeed #algorithms in the fedi, even if your instance doesnt choose to have one?
Boost for more data
Edit: we could also ignite a conversation on the reasons behind your opinion below or on your own profile :) helps with the nuance and could possibly help overcome sampling bias.
#MastIndia will anyone be willing to have a detailed conversation with me on their experiences with traditional #schooling and #HighEd? I'm collecting experiences to help kick start a broader conversation around the #IndianEducationSystem with the help of #TheEducationProject matrix space and a blog.
Indian (Asian) participants are encouraged but global data will also be appreciated!

Dear #mastodon app developers, what is this UI? And why?
This meme also brings up the argument of the tenant being entitled to an #equity over the #RealEstate in some cases.

If my proposition means anything: I absolutely DO NOT WANT any algorithm other than "recent posts first" in my news feed, nor do I want any algorithm in the fediverse itself because believe it or not: even if I were to select (recent posts) among other algorithmic options, my conversations with others are still going to get affected by algorithms.
Also, algorithms means more data collection, I'd say to heck with that.

I wish we could hold #indian #educational institutions accountable legally on a minimum criterion basis with regards to the quality of education they impart. Because it seems like there is a clear violation of student rights for their educational pursuits when compared with the amount of financial contributions these institutions demand.
A discourse on a framework for #pedagogy for indian #HigherEd needs to take place, given a sense of injustice the indian #students experience regularly.
