The right kind of unusual. Trainee Chardonnay anarchist. Stunningly mediocre.

@samir I think I'm even more exhausted by the well-meaning, well-reasoned, balanced takes that try to find the positives in LLMs. I appreciate it and also usually try to argue in that way but specifically for this topic it's draining the life out of me

@samir agreed. Though I'm not sure I think of these as bad faith as such. And maybe that makes it feel worse for me. I just can't get my head around why people are so eager to prove that their work can easily be replaced by the statistical average of the stolen works of the most prolific of their peers.

After a long break I posted something on my blog again. About something old but new-to-me in the Java/Spring world. https://blog.dtem.me/2026/04/a-bit-about-relational-data-in-java.html

@samir @bodil @janl haha. ESR. From cathedral and bazaar to "arming pilots would have prevented 9/11" was a good learning experience to not be too generous with respect for random strangers. I feel old now. Edit: the amount of completely useless trivia I have in my head though

@bagder to me you'll always be the one that kind of made my Archos Jukebox work in Linux. My memory is very hazy. I was trying to find a way to contribute but was absolutely clueless on Linux driver workings so this never got anywhere. But the haxx.se domain name somehow did get ingrained in my memory

@rradczewski I keep using joker.com, mostly out of habit. But I haven't felt the need to move in 20+ years
