#Boardgames in the Tabakalera, Donostia! 😍 The best part is that you don't even need a library card to play the games on the premises, so we borrowed Magic Maze and had a great time while it was raining outside.

It's been so long since I got to follow one of my team's matches live on TV! But being a member pays off! Preseason, here we come! Goazen Athletic! 🦁 #football #athleticclub

@DrJLecter@beige.party Ugh, that sounds like a proper asshole. I honestly don't know how people like that even have friends. But I guess it's usually men giving them a pass and not seeing how problematic they are (and not believing women about them)... 🙄 Well done you for being vocal to your colleague, hope he'll act more responsibly next time!

@DrJLecter@beige.party Somehow my eyes glanced over this post and decided that the presence of the word swimming in the post meant that "biking" had to be "bikini"...
Hope you'll have a more agreeable evening!

@Wisesnail@mastodon.social You're definitely not boring (wtf, friends of Wisesnail who said that? You should support, not complain!) and I could look at a thousand of your paintings showing the same person and would not get bored because your paintings are all so beautiful. 😍

@jerk@brettspiel.space Yeah, UC has a lot of moving parts - though with Praga I seem to never get the best out of my action tiles... 😅
I'm not a solo player either but glad to hear First Rat offers some good content! I'll go look if my local library has it!
Have any of you played games at https://www.rally-the-troops.com? There are several games that would interest me, but the platform is invitation only and besides, I don't have anyone to play with (or explain the games to me 😅 ). Any volunteers? 😇
Flysch, Euskadi.
Thanks to @utechle@brettspiel.space I finally get to play Amabel Holland's Field of the Cloth of Gold on Rally the Troops, and it's so much fun we're on our third game already. 😊

First game of #DeepRegrets, thanks to @jerk@brettspiel.space, who is made of awesome! 😊 My family enjoyed it from what I could tell, and everyone agreed we have to play it again. I love the artwork and the humour especially! Looking forward to next time! #boardgames

@danielgibert@mastodon.online That is fantastic! I love how each character looks, and that it's not "just" regular animals and people but also dinos and fairy tale characters - and a tentacle. 😍 Excellent job!

As Elizabeth Hargrave says: "There really is a game that's right for every person at this point". The 'wife board game' can be whatever she wants it to be. #boardgames https://www.wargamer.com/board-games/wife-board-game

@TheDeckie@brettspiel.space Toy Battle hab ich mir jetzt bestellt. Vielleicht kann ich damit Neffen und Nichte irgendwann sanft an Wargames ranführen. 😅
Does anyone remember the movie #WagTheDog?

@DrJLecter@beige.party This is really disappointing. 😔 Unfortunately a lot of people don't realize that friends (especially best friends) are forever while relationships come and go. I had the same problem with an acquaintance recently who happily burned bridges with his friends because of things his gf complained about, and now she's left him and he's trying to get back into the circle and expects we "have to understand"... 🙄
Last night we played #Abomination, a worker placement game with a really fun theme. That is about all that was good.
The bad:
- it took almost 4 hours
- the characters you draw at the beginning are unbalanced (I drew one that basically locked me out of a sure way to earn points)
- progress feels very slow
- the hidden cards' effects vary a lot in strength
- achieving the main goal depends 100% on dice
- there are "take that" cards that can set you back significantly
Yeah, I hated it.

July in #boardgames was quite diverse: some party games, some more complex games, some 2 player games, and some new games that I definitely have to spend more time with. Overall a fun month (with one exception).
June was a fun month for #boardgames! I got to try several that were new to me, and I had a great time on Rally the Troops too! 😊
#ForgottenWaters is fantastic! Fun gameplay without too many rules and complications, beautiful artwork, and such funny humour! And the website offers audio files for the story parts, which is amazing. We had a blast playing the first scenario today! #boardgames

Has anyone here played #WhosLila? Is the rotary phone broken, or is there a trick? I've put in like 30 numbers and it's still asking for more...
#PaupersLadder was a wonderful surprise. Talisman vibes, but not early as long and grindy! You move around with your pauper and your (trainable) bird, go on adventures, help people, fight monsters, build things with stuff you find, and it's low stakes and great fun. The artwork is wonderfully quirky too. 😍
Ist die Spiele-Offensive down? Ich hab es gestern schon mal versucht, da war die Seite auch nicht erreichbar...

So excited to be going to Hobbymesse Leipzig and do touristy things in Leipzig with @DrJLecter@beige.party this year! 🤩

I've been close to selling my copy of #Viticulture for a while, but the new Bordeaux expansion might be exactly what I need to enjoy this game. The open market mitigates the swinginess of cards, the 4 full seasons provide more opportunities to get your production going. Excited! https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/462369/viticulture-bordeaux-expansion
