The importance of asking the right questions.
(I've been to Los Alamos, and no, I would not recommend using a bike to go fishing.)

Clock's got an OLED display now! Ignore the half disconnected encoder, that's next.

Mostly carbon and hydrogen. There must be an organic chemistry name for this.

Now the clock has a menu system, using the rotary encoder and OLED. Mostly nonfunctional so far, but it can switch between 12 and 24 hour modes, and re-set the time from NTP if it ever gets far off (probably not).
No video of that because the screen is too damn small to see on a video. I did find the larger OLED I thought I had, but it turns out to be only semi-functional. Need a new one.

@csk@mathstodon.xyz Just got through re-watching it for the first time in very many years. In so many ways just another Hollywood PG rated romantic comedy, but with the twist (see what I did there) that the writers actually thought about their concept, worked out the implications far beyond what's obvious, and wrote a story that was far better than it needed to be. Amazing.

@SteveFoerster@social.vivaldi.net SpaceX and NASA absolutely do run that many years late. Musk said in 2019 Starship would probably fly that year. SLS first launched four years late. When Artemis started up the landing was supposed to be in 2024. The mission relies on a lander that hasn't been built yet let alone tested, and in-space refueling that has not yet been attempted at all let alone at the needed scale. I'll believe they can do it in four years when I see it.

The attempted repair may even be slightly more horrific.
