The tragedy of our time is that we let our attention and intensity go from 0 to 100 on short-term concerns ("arXiv is banning users for a new reason"),
...but can only go from 0 to 5 on long-term concerns ("keep all arXiv articles healthy and freely available in 2226")

It's the Scale of operations. We have on the order of 0.0001 employees per new annual submissions and 0.00001 employees per overall published articles.
Opus 4.8 is great as well.
I don't think we are going back to the old ways.

@andrejbauer@mathstodon.xyz The way we do with any software? Containerize, or virtualize, or run on dedicated standalone hardware. There is a movement of people buying Mac mini to run OpenClaw, as one strange development.

@christianp How do you deal with allotted time?
I have heard of different trade-offs, where you could add a fixed number of minutes to deal with the added difficulty, but keep scope small enough that the examinees don't get completely worn out.
But I know almost nothing on these "user experience" questions in assessment.
