In about a week, I'm having my court case heard in appeal. I got sentenced quite harshly for a (failed, mind you) peaceful blockade of a private jet airport in Deurne, #Antwerp
I hate how it succeeded at least partially in shutting me up, and how stupidly small this action was. We weren't doing anything radical or especially dangerous, this shouldn't have gone as far as it has already.
I don't even hope for complete acquittal, just that the judges actually listen for once, instead of just ignoring our arguments. It's fucking depressing.
Rhetorical question, but: why is it the people criticizing the system are always demeaned as being naive and unrealistic, and not the defenders of the status quo that is actively destroying our world? Why should we listen to those people anyway?
Related: I don't want to compromise with those 'reasonable' centrists.
What is, these days, a good way to host a #blog? I've been using a #hugo static website generator, linking Github with Netlify, but I'm looking to update everything, and at least love away from Github.
Preferably: static, not too difficult (I'm not a techie at all), lightweight, can use own domain, maybe migrate my posts seamlessly too (they're now easily stored in markdown files).![]()
