We're hoping to be a lot more explicit about things we're required to do under BC's privacy law (PIPA) in this update.
As well, the initial policy was focused just on Mastodon, this update brings in lots more details about how the coop handles personal information.
Just spent 4 days at Atmosphere Conf https://atmosphereconf.org, the apps and customized views people are creating are incredibly exciting: margin.at, semble.so, anisota, pckt.blog, etc., that take up a range of ideas like collective sensemaking, social play, gaming, decelerated media, cosy experiences. Starting to see interactions that break out of "the feed," scrolling and the idiom of micro-blogging, which I am more than ready for

I shouted-out @coop@cosocial.ca in a question about what might individuals and gov'ts role be not only in addressing misindo/disinfo on big tech but also encouraging open social media alternatives 😅 .

Unfortunately, I've gotten sick! 🤒 Gutted that I won't be able to be there, but incredibly grateful that @Django@cosocial.ca / @django@social.coop can be there to talk about #CoSocialCa in my place. I hope the event goes well!
