@GottaLaff@mastodon.social Every teacher should ask "How many of these Bible rules has Donald Trump broken?"

@GottaLaff@mastodon.social Republican reaction: "Thank you President Donald Trump!" 🥳

@mmasnick Prediction: Elon would buy any Twitter alternative that becomes too popular. This is how tech companies prevent competition e.g. Microsoft buying Activision.
"Trump’s Peace Plan for #Ukraine Looks Like Putin’s Victory"
"American efforts to force Ukraine to capitulate to Russia could spur Kyiv to develop nuclear weapons, and spark a race by several erstwhile U.S. allies to acquire their own nuclear arsenals for self-defense and deterrence."
There's been a lot of talk how #Trump would be wowing America with various theatrics after the #election2024 like 2016. But has anyone else noticed he's barely spoken in public since the election? It's been pretty obvious that the guy is old and tired and doesn't want to do this kind of stuff anymore. I expect we won't be seeing much public speaking from him after he takes office again.

1. Trump can't stop the ban. The Tiktok ban law doesn't let him do that. At most, Trump can give delay the ban by 90 days.
2. Republican politicians support the ban.
3. Because of 2), the Republican controlled Supreme Court won't side with Trump even if he opposes the ban because some of his rich donors oppose it.
Gonna buy a new laptop on #BlackFriday before the #Trump #tariffs hit.

@mmasnick Other than the engagement part, he didn’t say anything new that others haven’t guessed. Brand safety problems, teams disappearing, and buggy software were all predicted by many people already. The article was a confirmation of what most of us suspected.

@hankgreen Republicans will hate it when fusion works. They'll demand we keep on fracking for oil and call the pro-fusion people "Woke".

Looks like #Trump's pick of #RFK Jr has pushed Manchin over the edge to supporting Biden on judges. The power of Big Pharma. Incidentally, Trump really is destroying the cozy relationship between the #GOP and the #Republican party. This will have long term ramifications if democracy survives in America.
Ritchie Torres: "If Democrats had only given more free money and weapons to #Israel, Kamala Harris would have gotten more of the Latino vote and won the election."

"During the campaign, #Trump said he’d impose a baseline 60% #tariff on Chinese exports. If he does that, the price of all the stuff gamers love is going to go up. Laptop prices could spike by almost 50%. The cost of video game consoles could rise around 40%, making the upcoming PS5 Pro cost almost $1,000. The Switch 2 may be backward compatible, but it may cost quite a bit more than the original."
