@sun@shitposter.world You can use https://github.com/b3nj5m1n/xdg-ninja to fix some Linux apps that don't put their stuff in the right place, usually via environment variables.
@decryption@aus.social I'm in the US and recently leased a BMW iX through a broker, instead of going directly through a dealer. Pre-negotiated price with no haggling, cheaper than I could have negotiated myself. Not sure if there's car brokers in Australia though.
@lrhodes@merveilles.town Maybe we'll end up seeing a large number of small, relatively inexpensive servers (which is a major benefit of a federated system), instead of huge "main" servers like with Mastodon and Lemmy.
I understand the need for sustainable open-source, but charging $130 per developer per year for commercial use of a popular test assertion library (not even a test framework) is excessive. https://github.com/fluentassertions/fluentassertions/pull/2943

Root in the container is mapped to an unprivileged user on the VM. This is documented at https://research.meta.ai/blog/security-and-safety-for-ai-agents-our-approach-with-muse
