@Quasit @LukefromDC @numodular @davidaugust I read in a very unreliable autobiography of Tallyrand that he blanted the story in the newspaper as part of a cunning ploy in between debauched libertine exploits there are a million false stories, not even sure if this story was something people cared about at the time or if it’s just a fabrication of later historians I think the truth of it is that the people were mad at Versailes and Marie was hated by everyone because she was a foreigner and a woman, and way hotter than anyone in France, just moggin on the women of france

@ophiocephalic @violetmadder i think they’re connections go back a bit longer as I became aware of it like 2-3 years ago, i remember their Lemmy instance used to say in the sidebar “be an anarchist, pirate content, create AI Art” so they’ve been AI enthusiasts basically as long as they’ve existd.
