@neutronstar@infosec.exchange @eff@mastodon.social there is no perfect messenger, no doubt. I mainly use Signal but a lot of friends and family I use it with are certainly using Gboard.
Signals reliance on cloud services is a blessing and a curse.
Decentralized is great but I much prefer other options to SimpleX. Matrix is my top decentralized option. DeltaChat was actually better than SimpleX imo.
