In a victory for transparency, the Scottish Government has admitted that they wrongfully redacted key portions of the initial response to our FOI request into details of their First Homes Fund policy.
A review has revealed that the policy may have been rushed to meet their first 100 days commitment and some lenders are warning that recipients of the loans may have to pay larger deposits - undercutting the point of the scheme.

Data centre companies are lobbying the Scottish Government to let them write their own environmental regulations.
Instead, we should demand that at a minimum they do not push up electricity demand, "do no harm" to Scottish water, pay up front for any social harm they will cause, and make sure their buildings and the computers within meet Net Zero and Circular Economy standards.
