Having fun approaching the Octatrack as a programming device. Projects are like functions that take certain types of inputs and create certain types of outputs, which are then fed into other project functions as inputs. Tracks are the outputs of higher order functions.

There must be some chickens on Mastodon today, because all I’m hearing is “BoC BoC BoC BoC BoC BoC BoC BoC BOC”
My dad’s old Alesis Midiverb (one) seems to still work. Time to wet up some samples!
Imagine if everyone wrote their posts in their own handwriting
“We forget what being in the world actually feels like. We log on, scale warps. The vastness of the world opens up only to compress down into the single point of the user”
I am having a difficult time programming a double ratamacue on the Octatrack.
Just got a MOTU 828 mk3 and I just love it. They go for a little over $200 on Reverb, and you get a huge number of ins and outs, can do all sort of in-hardware mixing / eq / compression, and that green display is beautiful. Never had something with this many inputs; got this so I can pause on making my own instruments and just process hardware synths directly in Max.
Another one of those days where many people are referencing some kerfuffle that I am having a hard time finding the story on...
@sean_ae@post.lurk.org Crazy/bleak but also: isn't it all human-generated traffic? Or all machine-generated traffic?
