The view from last night’s Tool show. If I didn’t have to work today I would have absolutely followed them up to Tacoma as well. Next time for sure!
On a side note: this was one of the best set lists I’ve seen them do. I’m still 0/3 on watching them play “H.” live. Next time… maybe?
Fosstodon sticker just arrived!! ❤️
Just found a #Drafts action for importing into my #Obsidian vault. Oh man, game changer! I use Drafts as just a full on brain dump and Obsidian for storing everything permanently, daily journaling and “second brain” type things. This is so awesome to me as Drafts is by far my used app on the iPhone #getdafts #pkm #secondbrain
Back on Debian and back on Tilix. Lucy, I'm home.
Stayed up way too late playing with clouds and listening to The Clash! #Procreate #procreateart
A little snowscape to set the mood. Created in #procreate whilst nursing some whiskey and listening to Taylor Swift on repeat. Art nights are the best nights.
#RootsOfPacha has me hooked! I have been spending a lot of time playing #cozygames lately and this particular one is just so wonderful.
Getting lost in Stardew Valley, again. I can think of worse ways to spend my down time.
Sleep continues to elude me! Last night 3 hours of continuous sleep followed by about an hour of that weird half-sleep where yo u aren’t really sure if you are sleeping or not. Finally, I caved in at 2:30 this morning and just got up and hung out on Discord all morning before work.
Discord is quickly becoming one of my favorite places for interaction. I miss Reddit, but not all the doomscrolling. Mastodon and Discord give me that interaction but in smaller chunks (except for today, haha).
First day off in a while so I am absolutely spending it cooking kielbasa and playing Marvel Snap.
I might try for some productivity as my #Obsidian vault has been neglected a bit recently. Writing woes tend to lead to excessive gaming and Snap is freaking addictive.
I never would have thought my son and I would have so much fun playing #Overwatch2 together! We have been just rolling with laughs along the way too. Today has been a very relaxing and thoroughly needed day.
It’s remarkable the journey life has taken me on this past year. And even though I don’t have someone in life to pat me on the back, I must remember to enforce that within myself.
Sometimes the best action to take is one of reflection. Be sure to congratulate yourself, enforce your positivity through rough times and sit back and say “holy shit, I’m stronger than I thought!”
“A man then must stand upright, not be kept upright by others. Be straight, not straightened." – Marcus Aurelius
One of the finest quotes by him, and one that is consistently in my mind throughout moments of strife.
