If you are in the UK and are prepared to, please may you consider sparing ~5 minutes of you time to engage? Please use https://www.theyworkforyou.com to write to your MP and ask them to support https://edm.parliament.uk/early-day-motion/65938 There are elected members trying to act on behalf of transgender people in the UK now, (32 as of me writing this). We can pressure our representatives to act on this, this is the elected assembly's job! Trans rights are human rights! #ukPol #ukPolitics #trans #rights #lgbqt

hi there @helenclayton@mas.to that's an interesting interpretation, widespread, now i searched for it, but new to me. we've always used this expression with respect to the vegetable garden, where "clout" is taken to refer to a clod of earth. On that basis, we interpret "cast not a clout till may is out" as don't dig the veg patches until the hawthorns are blossoming. i do like multi-interpretation folk sayings 🙂

@GIFS_of_Puppets Fraggles! 😀

@LoganFive@beige.party There is no alternative!

thanks for sharing @kissane@mas.to one perspective that i find really helpful is chatacterised by: "if something is worth doing, it's worth doing half arsed" trying, and valuing trying, and doing some is so important. every effort, every hope, every positive step is a thing. learning and trying to be who you (i, we) want to be, whilst loving and nurturing the slips and stumbles on the way never let the impossibility of idealised perfection stop us from trying to get on okay, compromising as we go

@mast0d0nphan fsckin straight pooh, that's how it is

@brainwane@social.coop I am really sad to hear that Marjane Satrapi has died Persepolis was an amazing work of art.
