many years ago one fella from Irkutsk, who had been already in London, passed to me some digital assets under B2B deal. I asked him how things are going in his homeland, and he said it's not his homeland anymore. I looked at him puzzled, so he had shown me video from "another city holiday", and it was full of Asiatic faces, like 80% or more. And then he said "these are no Kazakh or Uzbek, these are Chinese from China". I asked with hope "tourists?", and his face went pale. "Why do you think I live in London now?". The topic flew into the wall.
So, when I heard last year or year before Putin ceded to Xi access for China to certain river with mouth into ocean, to let ships into ocean, I was not surprised. Siberia is shared/leased/used/you-use-own-word by China and Chinese, as if hand put into glove.
It's my personal perception of things, not necessarily proven fact.
