@getbookshelves “You will own nothing and you will be happy”. Just glad I got my books in their physical form. Makes lending them to friends a lot easier as well.

@jonsnow@mastodon.online Isn’t all the stuff that requires age verification online on the internet? Might be better to tackle things at the root and just switch off the entire thing, much more efficient.

@FranceskAlbs The lethargy in the EU (leadership) when it comes to “allies” and “international rights” is appalling. I am afraid it will be the downfall of the union. NOW is the time to draw the line, to demonstrate the moral compass that has been boasted for so long. Do we have European LEADERS or do we only have European FOLLOWERS. The absence of making tough but necessary choices will haunt us for generations.

@camertron Our systems are already less efficient. Waiting on computer software becomes a larger part of the day each year, and software becomes more bloathed. Nowadays you cannot even easily find what is the hold up on windows systems, but still things are not moving. Seems we have passed the efficiency marker on this OS a good while ago. Adding more memory, bandwidth and horsepower is not keeping up with it anymore. To think we’ve put people on the moon with much less…

@tante The push of AI into all the things does make a lot of refugees migrating into different areas of the digital realm. Hopefully this realm does not suffer from the same symptoms as the real world.

@alterelefant @janvlug Brilliant.

@pbloem The opposite is quite true. All the compute power can be used to scrutinize the source resolving issues.

#d66 #vvd #cda
All industry and agriculture in Europe can be ‘saved’ if we tax logistics on their CO2 emissions.

@koen_hufkens@mastodon.social Epic, had to laugh and cry, very accurate analogy of a frightfull amount of businesses.

@regendans@todon.eu Let’s see if the EU will demolish the very system that gives them a job or if there is still a future for the EU ideology.
