Did a little continuation of a long term project of mine today. In this, I present my most recent 128x128 pixel art recreation of an album cover: The Future by Leonard Cohen

mastodon 4.7.3To be honest, I mostly talk about the music I have been listening to, but sometimes I do talk about other things. 🏳️⚧️

Today is my birthday, and so I ask you just this one thing today: "Take some time today to listen to music, preferably while doing nothing else. Enjoy experiencing just the music if you can."
A little over one week on from my orchi & it genuinely feels like one of the best things I have done for myself in a long long time.
Thank you so much to all the friends & acquaintances who helped me reach this point. Whether it was the folks who pushed me to actually get around to doing things like schedule my consultation, or just people who helped to remind me that I am worth it & I matter to others. I am genuinely beyond gracious.
You know that feeling, that nostalgia adjacent feeling for a thing that you didn't experience in your youth, but you have—in recent years—formed a strong connection to? If you had experienced it longer ago, it would be nostalgia, but it still feels nostalgia related. Is there a word for that feeling?

@derthomas Yeah, I can hear him saying that. "Well, we finished that section, next is flamenco in 5/4!"

@derthomas I love that Steve Howe randomly is there joining Brian May in that middle flamenco part that the song has.

@HailsandAles@metalhead.club 2017 is likely the easiest one of these for me so far.
I have talked at great length many times over already about why I love this album.

Ok, that is all for now, I'll be back to continue my trip through the Hip later
So I was chatting with my brother about The Hip yesterday and the discussion inspired me to begin my next discography journey of this year. I started it yesterday but will be continuing it today—music from 1987 to 2016, 13 studio albums, 2 EPs, & 2 live albums—I am making way through the discography of The Tragically Hip
Been in a Leonard Cohen mood today, so I am currently listening one of my favorite albums of his: *The Future*
