mastodon 4.7.3Autonomic is a co-operative that is owned and run by its workers. We build technologies and infrastructure to empower users to make a positive impact on the world. All of our services reflect our commitment to our core values of privacy, transparency and sustainability.
We're thrilled to announce our new project:
https://docs.coop/
Building on the great work of Suite Numerique (https://docs.numerique.gouv.fr/home/), we are offering an opportunity to be part of a new collaborative Docs platform as a service, that provides an ethical alternative to Google Docs, Office 365, Notion etc.
Docs is the result of a joint effort lead by the French 🥖 (DINUM) and German 🥨 (ZenDiS) governments which represents a paradigm shift in the way open source software is funded.
We offer managed or collaborative hosting of Matrix, Rocketchat, Mattermost and DeltaChat.
Plenty of options for hosting location (UK, EU, Iceland, a provider of your choice or on prem).
No drawbridging or per user pricing. You pay for our time and the server resources used.
We have strict guidelines against working for the military or other harmful industries:

Hello friends, today we’re launching https://cooperative.computer !
It’s like dGaaS (De-Googling as a Service). Nextcloud files storage, contacts and calendar syncing and a Matrix account all for £3 per month.
- No ads
- No data mining
- No BS
AND THAT’S NOT ALL! Don’t like it? Change it! Cooperative.computer will eventually be its own cooperative where the members decide how it’s run.
Come talk to us on Matrix today! Operators are standing-by. https://matrix.to/#/#general:cooperative.computer
Hi folks,
@coopcloud@social.coop community members made a new Matrix channel for folks looking to start new tech co-ops. Soon to be a Matrix space.
Feel free to come say hi:

Autonomic gets a lot of people asking if we need new members. We're going to direct them here now to see if they can find networks online to approach starting their own co-ops.

So happy to be working with @greennet@greennet.social
They really approach their projects with care and wisdom even when thing get difficult 🙏
Very inspiring.
Wow, we just attended the @patio@social.coop general assembly. 23 organisers from tech worker co-operative worldwide. Very energising.
We demand democracy and freedom instead of authoritarian tech dystopia. Join us in the international struggle!
Hack the planet! :fediverse: 🌏 🏴☠️
The good ship Autonomic is looking for more work.
Here to smuggle your cargo across the galaxy. Hyperspace capable. Discreet. Can outrun Empire patrols. We have friends everywhere. 🌌 🌑 🚀 🪐
(but also more mundane things like tech infrastructure and website development, see: https://autonomic.zone/services/)
Hey Fedizens, just to let you know that we have capacity for new tech work.
Here’s an extensive list of our skills: https://autonomic.zone/services/
In short, we do open source infrastructure, websites and support. Everything from Wordpress front end to supporting a whole office of Linux clients.
Some of the shiny new things we have been playing with recently include static sites (using Payload CMS for a slick user content creation experience), Passkeys (passwordless login with a hardware token or phone) and continuing to deploy applications using @coopcloud@social.coop
If you think of anything you might need or have any existing frustrating tech problems you’d like to solve. Feel free to get in touch: boop @ autonomic . zone
Maybe we can make something great happen.

@blainsmith@fosstodon.org exciting!
@blainsmith@fosstodon.org @syhr@social.coop I don't think any of us are using SearXNG so we probably never considered it.
We would like to have a way for the users to be able to vote on new services though. Maybe it could be proposed and added.
