If I had known, in my younger and more vulnerable years, that Jonathan Harker's hair was white AND he becomes an action hero I would have had a crush on him sooner.

Back on October 2, Harker writes of Mina: "The dear girl was more affectionate with me than ever, and clung to me as though she would detain me; but there was much to be talked of and I came away."

Did they have a quickie before he joined the men for planning? Good on them!

@anon_opin@mastodon.social I don't know where you are, but for me, eye exams are required every time you renew your license in person.

I failed the test the first time I ever took it (nerves got to me), and have been terrified of it since. Then I learned you can get an official note from your eye doctor, explaining your status. Godsend.

Today is the 68th anniversary of Russian tanks rolling through Budapest, which reminds me that my grandparents didn't risk everything fleeing that country so I could sit on my butt and NOT vote. Good on me, I already did.

@fehrtrade@toot.community I wish I could sew. I used to, if not particularly well. But I lost my permanent sewing machine setup when my second kid was born, and every time I think of a project, the idea of dragging the machine out, finding a place to set it up, and invariably having to put it away later that day, drains me.

I guess I'll just express myself in writing for now.
