I don't mind if it's quite technical. I just want to hear what you folks are being surprised by!</p> @johncarlosbaez@mathstodon.xyz India now has a larger share of new battery electric cars (out of all new cars sold) than USA

Yes, and I've also decided I don't add a lot of value warning people about all the dangerous things going on now, since there are so many other people doing this. So one thing I can do that seems useful and not trivial is sharing ecological good news, like this: https://mathstodon.xyz/@johncarlosbaez/115911764922880272 @johncarlosbaez@mathstodon.xyz @annaghughes@mastodon.online I enjoy it a lot when either one of you science communicates or posts cool egg photos

And why didn't they try francium chloride? 😆 @johncarlosbaez@mathstodon.xyz They preferred sodium and lithium chloride. I detected a hint of anti-salmiac bias with ammonium chloride though.

For anyone curious, that's licorice flavored with sal ammoniac: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salty_liquorice @johncarlosbaez@mathstodon.xyz They put that stuff even in ice creams and it’s apparently quite good.
