@suzi_1960@mastodon.nl As lovely and funny it is, I'm afraid to confirm this is AI. https://www.facebook.com/AntohaCreative/posts/29191815243754670/

Italian game translator in Tokyo: Fortnite, Cuphead, Just Cause, PES, Papers Please...
And now administrator at Localization Café. Wish us luck 😄
PSA if you are using an adblock, consider using AdNauseam. It's just as effective (it's based on uBlock) but also clicks on EVERY AD behind the scenes. Making both your tracking profile and their ad budget completely pointless.
It's so devilish that Google doesn't actually allow it on the Chrome store.
My game makes a reference to the city of Liverpool, then cuts aside to a joke about how hard it will be to localize. Dude, Liverpool is Liverpool, we just translate it. Did you think we'd reset everything in Naples?
I guess you heard about that Australian Hyrox lady who kept racing after soiling herself.
I find it a fascinating insight into the dynamics of validation, especially after her trainer jumped up saying people shouldn't judge because they weren't there.
Dude, she joined a race and posted "Go hard or go home", she's the first one judging.
And yes, sports often flirt with such extremes. If you take boxing or car racing, dying or killing for a win become real options.
But those are socially allowed. Admired and validated.
Embarrassing yourself, inconveniencing everyone else and ending up in a hospital bed for a gimmicky fitness race just aren't. She's a punchbag.
Maybe it's unfair, but you don't get to write the rules of social validation. It's an amorphous, contradictory thing we all need to both depend on and defend against.
I guess the lesson is that we all need to pick more consciously where we take our validation from.
And keep in mind that one person's champion may well be someone else's moron.
@AnthoDerv@famichiki.jp Gotta love how the convenience of online chatting actually allowed for MORE rudeness 😄
Heads-up: if these days you see a notification about system updates, take a minute to have them installed. A lot of low-hanging-fruit exploits are being found with AI, so there's a wave of fixes to stay safe.

You are being misled about renewable energy technology.
Because the FIRST thing people thought about early GBA games was "wow, this looks so good" 😄
I've relaunched* the blog
-Most stuff has aged gracefully. In the end, it was us figuring out the theory of this work over ten years, so it's pretty actionable
-Publii is a lovely publishing platform. You install it locally, design everything as if you were on Wordpress and it then generates and uploads/updates all the static files for you (without the complexity of a Jeckyll)
-*And by relaunched I mean moved to a free/static platform instead of paying Ghost and not using it. Blogging really feels like a distance and closed era (at least for me)
Heads up: this domain is currently mirrored under localisation.cafe and l10n.cafe but I'd rather keep that money for other projects 😃 If anyone ever used those, be advised they will expire in December
What an odd mistake: "Cancel the race" instead of "Race cancellation", "Race cancelled" and so on?
It could be a machine translation error over a single line (especially if it's ambiguous in Thai language) but how nobody noticed?
Maybe it sounds normal when backtranslated into Thai?
