I'm excited about this one - the GNOME Foundation is looking to hire someone to help turn Flathub into a self-sustaining entity.

Many thanks to Endless for funding this work!

This user testing data is pure gold for those of us working on the GNOME Files app.

Many thanks to Outreachy for making this possible, the GNOME Foundation for providing the funding, and Udo for her incredible work.

I've recently been working on designs for conflict handling in GNOME's Files app. (Like, what happens if you paste a file and an existing file has the same name.)

It took a few rounds of iteration, but I'm starting to feel happy with the result.

I have a lot of fond memories of the GNOME wiki, but its time has come. Retirement will happen this week. So long, MoinMoin. ❤️

I've had the pleasure of mentoring two fantastic Outreachy interns over the summer. Together they completed two usability studies for the GNOME project. This is the first study, which tested a set of media apps (Loupe, Showtime and Decibels):

Thanks to Larry for doing a fantastic job with the write-up!

I'm on the train home from the mini GUADEC in Berlin. As always, I am sad to have to say goodbye to friends new and old.

With recent events it has been a very tough trip, but I'm so grateful for the mutual respect and kindness that has been on display over the past few days. Our community is amazing. ♥️

It took about 15 years, but this week I finally became the maintainer of a core GNOME module. 🎉

We won't talk about how I used my new power to totally break the project's release infrastructure. (All fixed now - thank you amazing sysadmin team!)

Anyone interested in joining a GNOME 47 release party in the next week or two? It'll likely be in Manchester, and may just be an excuse to go to the pub.
