This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this kind of thing. My ex-wife got me looking at chemistry software, and it turns out that chemists have developed their own “ring finding” algorithms to find aromatic rings in chemical structures. They have, of course, done so without talking to the mathematics or CS departments (it’s a graph theory problem…). @hkrn@mstdn.social

@gregtitus @superbetsy An ex-employee of mine did this on the edging of a lay-by and hit his head hard enough that he forgot who he was and where he was going. Some kind lady picked him up, put his bike in her car and took him to hospital. Without a helmet, he might have been dead.

Just testing Ivory.
I suspect it’ll be better than the Mastodon app, which is honestly not so great. Last time I tried Ivory, it didn’t work with Pleroma, which is unfortunate because that’s what my instance uses.
It’s looking better this time around though.
