Co-worker's trainee has installed #Linux numerous times. He brought that up several times in his initial interview.
He was made to install Linux onto an old desktop. He instantly learned that 'installing linux' does not mean installing WSL and then putting your own stuff on it. Turns out he had never actually installed Linux.
Someone goes out of their comfort zone and does something cool, like an artist using a game engine they were not familiar with and doing an art piece.
This is however wrong, as there's a line of people wanting to say it's simple. They could've done it easily themselves. It could've been done better and their completely unrelated project is much cooler.

Nothing makes me want to reply to a help wanted post, like one where they just rant how much the thing in question sucks and how they're in a hurry and how the thing cost so much and how no one wants to help. all this without going into any details of what's wrong beyond 'IT DOESN'T WORK' and titling it as 'URGENT'

I was on the phone with grandma as a little kid, when I said to her: 'I made this!' and proudly waved around a set of paper doll clothes I had painstakingly cut. Grandma laughed and said she does not know what I had, I would have to explain her. Many years later I discover in work life, just how common it is to people to refer to 'this thing' when they describe a technical problem to me, except I have no context for that support call out of the blue. They also love getting angry when I don't understand what we're talking about. The should talk to my late grandma.
