Some personal news:
Dave
I run meh.com, and I'm CCO and co-founder at mediocre.com. (He/him)
I made a new daily game at https://letters.wiki! It's like Scrabble solitaire - play your five turns to get your best score.
Every day everyone gets the new word and set of tiles - compete with your friends, or just try to top your best score. Here's how I did today:
WikiLetters for September 29:
🟨🟩🟧🟨🟩 (100)

@justincox@social.lol Disclaimer: I did some research into the flavor of Regex supported, but this is AI assisted and not tested:
How to Set This Up in Tapestry
1. Create Filter 1 (Allow):
• Regex: #photography
• Action: Allow (or do nothing—Tapestry applies allow rules first if ordered properly)
2. Create Filter 2 (Block):
• Regex: #\w+.*#\w+.*#\w+.*#\w+.*#\w+
• Action: Block
@siracusa@mastodon.social re: spam protection from Hide My Email, it's not just relying on the obscurity of the email (and so a data security breach would not lead to more spam):
When someone uses Sign in with Apple at meh.com and uses Hide My Email, only domains/emails we've registered with Apple can email that Hide My address. (I recently dealt with this because our newsletter emails from another domain weren't going through and we had to add that email address.)

@gruber@mastodon.social Do you think "16x" is a typo/mistake, or am I misunderstanding what they mean by that?
"add a longer reach to your compositions with 16x optical zoom range"
Everywhere else it seems to clearly state 8x optical.
@dmoren@zeppelin.flights Funny timing, Ken just revealed on a recent Omnibus that he can only do Live Long and Prosper with his right hand. Good thing he was to your right side.
If you like quick daily games I've made several you can try at https://onthis.day
Music On This Day… tests your pop song knowledge. Listen to a top ten hit & place it in the timeline. Every day's a new batch of 8 songs from today in history at https://music.onthis.day
@kdawson@tldr.nettime.org @Johny28@thecanadian.social @swoonie@mastodon.ie Is there a reason Bhutan/Tanzania doesn’t fit the pattern?
@justincox@social.lol Sorry, I think you’re right that we can’t do the photography bit with their current regex engine choice.
They would need to support exceptions or lookaheads. (Feature request to @support@iconfactory.world )
