I spotted Orthetrum melania in the same area again today! children on summer vacation were running around chasing insects with their nets, but actually collecting insects is prohibited in this park...🥺 (2 photos) #dragonfly #nature

And Rhyothemis fuliginosa (butterfly dragonfly) as usual... the color of its wings looks different every time depending on the lighting, so I find myself taking pictures of it again and again (2 photos) #butterflydragonfly #dragonfly #nature

feel like the number of Rhyothemis fuliginosa (butterfly dragonfly) at the park has started to drop a bit🥺 perhaps their peak season has already passed...? #dragonfly #nature

on a nearby tree from the one in the previous post, a butterfly Hestina assimilis aggressively claiming the sap spot, yellow proboscis shooting forward — while a type of scarab beetle protests like, “hey, I was here first…” (3 photos) #insect #butterfly

although there have been concerns about the declining population of Cariagrion Nipponicum (red damselfly) in Japan, a large number of them inhabit this park #damselfly #nature

feathers shed by birds during their molt are floating on the pond's surface, with damselflies perched upon them. the first one is likely Paracercion melanotum, and Paracercion calamorum in the second photo (2 photos) #damselfly #nature

2 photos of a type of weeping, pinkish, double-flowered cherry blossoms🌸 they look vibrant with the equipment I'm currently using, but feel a bit softer with an old camera... I tend to shoot with the specific settings for each scene and don't do much retouching, but I can understand the feelings of people who finish their photos with retouching and development #bloomscrolling

the population of Rhyothemis fuliginosa (butterfly dragonfly) has been declining, I spotted a small group including two females flying about in a location where I hadn't seen them before. the females are not only darker than the males but also differ slightly in hue; this one appeared to have a greenish-gold tint mixed in (2 photos) #dragonfly #butterflydragonfly #nature

this one has a coloration similar to a male, but it's darker, and the tip of its tail appears to be a female. since I had mostly posted photos of males until now, glad I was able to get a good look at a female before they disappear for the season (2 photos) #dragonfly #butterflydragonfly #nature

spotted a small flock of Cyanopica cyanus (azure-winged magpie) including jeveniles... its tail feathers had almost fully grown out, but traces of white down remained on its head, and both its voice and movements were still distinctly juvenile, chased their parents across the high tree branches (4 photos) #bird #nature

a grey heron and a red-eared slider—the usual buddies of this pond, however, since this type of turtle (Trachemys scripta elegans) is an invasive species, they are being captured to control their breeding; it seems there are fewer of them now than before... #nature #greyherom #turtle
