@scy@chaos.social When I (American) started working in Europe, I was surprised at the casual swearing (in English) of my European colleagues.
When I asked about it, their response was basically, "Hey, don't look at us. We learned colloquial English by watching your TV and movies."
I couldn't argue with that.
